Close to nature and far from the crowds - enjoy comfort, seclusion and tranquility in the mountains and the many year-round low-impact outdoor activities this area has to offer.

We are surrounded by forests and mountain peaks, and the lodge overlooks turquoise Abraham Lake. Our location is ideal for visitors wishing to explore the central portion of Banff and Jasper National Parks and adjacent front ranges and foothills of Bighorn Country.

Aurum Lodge is readily accessible on Hwy 11 (David Thompson Highway) from Red Deer / Rocky Mountain House in the East, or from Banff and Jasper National Parks and the Icefields Parkway to the west.

We offer rooms in the lodge including breakfast and dinner, as well as self-contained units for guests who prefer to look after their own meals.

Our facility is smoke free and a friendly dog resides in the lodge. Pets are welcome in the self-contained units. For families with children we also recommend the self-contained units as the lodge is more adult oriented (please enquire).  

Minimum stays apply for the self-contained units and in shoulder / peak season. Advance reservation is recommended. We also offer reduced rates on stays of four nights or longer.

n.b. As an eco-tourism facility, we do request our guests not to engage in environmentally damaging motorised recreation (helicopter tours, off-roading and jet-boating), hunting or trapping in the area.

C$ 25 non-refundable reservation fee included with deposit. Deposit ranges from C$ 50 (off-season) to C$ 150 or 20% of reservation value in high season.
Cancellation notice minimum of two weeks (five days in off-season), failing which there will be a full nights charge if unit cannot be re-sold.
